Do you run a club, bar or night club?
have you seen the door staff signing with their licence number to say they have a licence?
What if they are lying?
Here at Stance Security we sceen and vet all of our staff to BS7858 to ensure that they are a fit and proper person for the roles in which they are carrying out. As part of this we cross reference their ID to their SIA licence to ensure that it is actually their licence and still active.
Once this has been confirmed we access the SIA’s register of licence holders to ensure that it is a true and valid licence.
The checks against the SIA database is then carried out every two weeks against all licenced staff.
On the 17th of June a gentleman from the Dorset area appeared in court and pleaded guilty for working without a licence, he in fact was using another persons licence to work illigally!
Further to this the gentleman had set up his own company and was supplying venues in the Bournemouth area with door supervisors.
